Dr. Anjali Morris Education and Health Foundation (AMF) was co-founded by Dr. Anjali Morris and Late Mr. Umakant Joshi in 2008, to assist children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). We are proud to be the first organization in India to have received full Institutional Accreditation from the International Dyslexia Association, USA. To date we have provided help to more than 7000 children.


Vision - To make available to students, in India, with Specific Learning Disabilities, specialized support and interventions so they become effective learners and productive members of society.

Anjali Morris Foundation (AMF)works through it’s five different programs under the flagship program named Bridging Over Learning Disabilities (BOLD). The details of the programs are as below –

Direct Services: AMF assesses the students at risk of and with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders (ADHD) and offers interventions on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. These direct services are offered at AMF resource centres and outreach schools.


Technically Assisted Projects: Under this program, AMF offers technical expertise to schools to set up their own resource centres. These help AMF to reach out to the students indirectly.


Training Programs: AMF conducts periodic short workshops, Skill Enhancement Programs and 1 year Certificate course for Skill Development in Special Education (Learning Disabilities, Autism & Intellectual Disability) for classroom teachers, Special Educators and other professionals working in the field; to enable them to identify such children and guide them to the correct place for interventions.


Community Services: AMF also focuses on sensitizing the other stakeholders who are important for helping students by conducting numerous awareness program.


Research: As there are no evidence-based assessment tools in Marathi, AMF is conducting a multiyear research project in developing curriculum-based assessments (Oral Reading Fluency) in Marathi.
